Created for Restaurant Nichigetsu in Berlin, the noren rail is made from matte-finished aluminum rods, held by simple U-shaped brackets.

The soft, muted surface of the aluminum catches the light without reflecting it sharply, giving the material a calm and subtle presence.

Like a curtain, the noren gently divides the glass-enclosed space, while the slender aluminum lines create a delicate rhythm between fabric and light.

Hard material and soft fabric meet to create an ambiguous boundary between inside and out.
