ABOUT.
Kin-Tsugi is a research project exploring the relationship between wood, mycelium, and humans through the act of joining.
The name combines Kin (菌, mycelium) and Tsugi (継ぎ, joinery), inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese tradition of repairing broken ceramics and giving them new value.

Here, mycelium takes the place of adhesive. Growing into the wood, it naturally binds separate pieces together.
Traditional Japanese joinery becomes a framework for exploring a new form of connection—where craft, natural growth, and material become one.
